WaveZero's premier EMI shielding offering, Form/Met® EMI suppression products, are the optimum choice for new product development and design teams. These EMI/RFI shielding materials are custom created by thermoforming and die cutting a lightweight plastic substrate and then metalizing the substrate with a pure metal or combinations of layers to make the shield conductive.
You can use Form/Met shields at enclosure level, board/system level, or component level, making it the most flexible electromagnetic shielding solution available, ideal for complex board/component layouts or for situations where light weight is extremely important. Form/Met shields are especially ideal for low to mid-volume manufacturing.
Although custom-created for your application, turnaround times are short and prototyping and production is highly economical.
The innovative Form/Met approach is the most environmentally friendly solution available, utilizing an adhesive process instead of solder for board attachment, and more easily recyclable than conduction gaskets, conductive paint, soldered metal cans, or conductive plastics. In addition, Form/Met shields are 20% the weight of metal.
